Nissan

Nissan Motor Company, Limited is a Japanese automobile manufacturer. Its common name, Nissan, is an acronym for "Nippon Sangyo" (Japanese for "Japanese industry"). Currently ranked second in sales in Japan and is among the major auto companies in terms of annual production of vehicles. Nissan has developed a plan to perform a new car powered by electricity, even some of its components use energy from solar cells. In 2006, appeared a hybrid model, the Nissan Altima. In 1999 due to Asian crisis and the fall of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the French brand Renault cars signed an alliance with Japanese Nissan, acquiring a 44.4% stake in Nissan (voting) and in turn Nissan acquired a 15% stake in Renault (non-voting). This is why Renault and Nissan are now "The Alliance" but which is distinguished from other unions among automotive companies is that both brands are committed to maintain their independence. Although there are several models of cars that are sold as Renault Nissan in some countries, this is the example of Renault Logan in Mexico is sold as Aprio Nissan, and Nissan Almera in Colombia and Mexico is sold as Renault Scala
